Lindenwood clinched their first ever Mid-South rugby title by beating Davenport 43-6 at home over the weekend.
The match was controlled by the Lions from the opening kickoff. Lindenwood scored seven tries by seven different players earning them the win and the needed bonus point to win the conference.
This weekend's D1A offering includes a chance for Lindenwood to clinch the Mid-South, a huge non-conference clash between BYU and Arizona, and the latest in Army's preparation tour.

Saint Mary’s defeated BYU 60-29 in Provo Saturday in a game where turnovers absolutely killed the Cougars’ chances.
Most of the Saint Mary’s try-scoring sequences started with the Gaels on defense, and either a mistake by BYU or an excellent play by Saint Mary’s—often both—result in points for the Californians.
Cal defeated Central Washington 48-19 under the lights in Berkeley on Friday.
The Bears hit hard and early and stymied CWU's initial opportunities, and it was, overall, an aggressive defensive performance from Cal and some quick ball movement that saw them through.
