GRR: Delbarton
This was a very eventful weekend in Boys High School rugby in the Northeast, so let's take a look.
ConnecticutGreenwich, Trumbull, and Fairfield Rugby Club all logged wins in Connecticut this weekend.
The Fairfield Pegasi got two tries from Brendan Walsh and tries from Sebastian Guzman, Louis Sorocco, and Wilbur Hughes to beat Staples 33-26.
Boston College High followed up on their defeat of the Massachusetts IAA rivals Milton with a win over defending New Jersey champs Delbarton on Friday.
Delbarton defeated Hudson Catholic 69-0 to remain undefeated in New Jersey in the single-school league.
Delbarton repeated as the New Jersey single-school champion, defeating St. Augustine 27-14 Saturday.
The two teams met recently, with St. Augustine winning that game, but Delbarton got revenge Saturday.
St. Thomas traveled to Morristown, NJ last Thursday as part of the Texas-based team's Spring Break tour, and faced off with defending state champion Delbarton Prep.
It was expected to be a tough game, but Delbarton has graduated some players and struggled to keep up with a more game-tested St. Thomas team.
