A week before the ACRC Bowls, the ACRL champion Clemson Tigers took on the US Naval Academy.

Navy has been following a challenging fall schedule, playing highly-regarded teams every month or so. They defeated Ohio State 48-10 August 29, lost to Air Force 38-26 October 3, and beat Maryland 54-21 October 25.

Sometimes it all just falls into place.

Some years ago the Atlantic Coast Rugby League (ACRL) decided they wanted to make sure that the season ended in the right way, and at the same time give incentive for weaker teams to pitch-up on the final weekend.

Clemson defeated North Carolina 69-0 in emphatic fashion Friday evening in a lightning-delayed game.

The Tigers moved to 4-0 in the Atlantic Coast Rugby League (ACRL) and will be in first when the weekend is done as Maryland does not have a league game this weekend.

Clemson moved to 3-0 in Atlantic Coast Rugby League play with a708-5 defeat of NC State.

The Tigers gave up their first points of the season, but still won convincingly.

Aaron Keers had a big day on the scoresheet, kicking seven conversions, two penalty goals, and scoring a try for 25 points all on his own.

Eyes should turn intently on the Atlantic Coast Rugby League (ACRL) this year as several teams are working hard to raise their fortunes. Clemson, the defending champions, are probably as good as they were last year, or possibly better. Always a team with a lot of energy and support behind it, Clemson has struggled with consistency.
