This week was a perfect opportunity for #1 Gonzaga to be knocked off.
Gonzaga needed a late try to get by Gregory the Great, and just escaped what could have been a big upset. So, had #2 Jesuit won against a very srong De La Salle, you might have seen a change. Guess what? De La Salle beat Jesuit 19-10. So in the end, Jesuit drops down, De La Salle comes up to #3, and Herriman bumps up to #2 based mostly on reputation from last year.
The top is wide open, about as wide open as we've seen in a while. Once the cold-weather teams get going, we could certainly see a change.
Obviously De La Salle moves up, and could take the top spot if they keep getting the results. GGA moved up six spots to #11 on the basis of a close loss. Bixby moves up because they are playing well. Carlsbad moves up and Servite down after Carlsbad won the SoCal Varsity White final.
Notable also, we've moved Westside to Single-School from HS Club because that's what they are.
