Stick to What We Do Best - Ngwenya

The USA team is now in London getting ready to face South Africa.

Of course, it was eight years ago that Taku Ngwenya became a household name by scoring the try of the year in against those self-same Springboks in the World Cup.

Ngwenya is tryless this World Cup and really is still looking to get the sort of possession he needs to torch defenses. But he has been active for the Eagles, and told reporters how his teammates are handling things.

“We’re still trying to recover from the bad loss that we had against Scotland but we are excited about playing South Africa,” said Ngwenya. “Trust me, when South Africa come we’ll be ready to accept it. Tomorrow we’re back at it. We’re one of the few teams that have 10 days in between (matches).”

The USA needs that extra time, if only to recover physically and mentally from two games they felt they could have won.

"We’ve got to stick to what we do best and not concentrate on what they're doing,” said Ngwenya about South Africa. “It's not concentrating on what’s in front of us; it’s concentrating on our skills and what we do best. I believe we have backs that can run with the best. We’re getting better, especially when we play tier-one teams, but as most Americans, as competitors, we're disappointed in the losses that we had."
