Georgetown Wins Monday Special

In a game postponed until Monday evening, Georgetown defeated George Mason University 44-24 to move to 4-1 and clinch a playoff spot in the Potomac DII Men's College Rugby Conference.

In wet conditions at in DC, Georgetown was paced by Stephen Tigani, who scored three tries, all in the second half. Conor Shea scored two for the Hoyas, while DJ Angelini, Zach Rego, and Cormac Carr also touched down. Charlie Sullivan added two conversions.

GMU dropped to 2-3.

Georgetown moved up to 2nd after the game, moving past 3-1 Salisbury. However, that may be a short-lived 2nd place as Georgetown has one game left, against undefeated Towson, and Salisbury has two games left, against Johns Hopkins and George Washington, who are a combined 1-7 this season.
