The USA Women’s 15s team snapped a seven-game test match losing streak in Auckland Sunday, holding off Australia 16-14 to win their second-round game in the Pacific Four Series.
USA Women's 15s Head Coach Rob Cain has named his lineup to face Australia in the 2nd leg of the Pacific FOur Series in New Zealand.
The Eagles are coming off a 36-5 loss to Canada in which Cain started several debutantes and newish players. He did that because several more experienced Eagles were involved in the English Premiership playoffs.
Canada defeated the USA in the opening game of the Pacific Four Series in Tauranga, New Zealand, playing just a little bit more of a unified game against the Eagles.
The 36-5 scoreline was pretty indicative of how the run of play went. The USA had few scoring opportunities and when they had the ball, struggled to keep it in the rain.
