GRR: National Teams
Well it was fitting, in a way, that the USA v Japan game was played in the middle of the California State Fair, with the roller coaster screaming by Bonney Field every few minutes - it was a bit of a roller coaster of a game, after all; but the USA’s victory over Japan does a few things, not least of which is that it places the Eagles in with a chance to win the Pacific Nations Cup.
The USA Men's 15s National Team held on in a thrilling and weird game to beat Japan 23-18 in the Pacific Nations Cup.
USA players Japan in the 2nd round of games in the Pacific Nations Cup. The game kicks off at 8pm Pacific Time Friday, July 24.

Can the USA beat Japan?
That’s the big question, to be answered tonight at Bonney Field in Sacramento.
The USA doesn’t get a full week between games in the Pacific Nations Cup, given that they played on Saturday and now play tonight, the following Friday.
That means that the Eagles has a recovery day on Sunday, and a captain’s run on Thursday, leaving them just Monday-Wednesday for on-field work, and usually there’s time off schedule in that.
