SAN JOSE, Calif. (USA Rugby Release) – The Men’s Eagles kick off their 2015 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup campaign against No. 9-ranked Samoa Saturday, July 18, at Avaya Stadium, with Chris Wyles set to captain his first match for the U.S.
The Pacific Nations Cup games set for Avaya Stadium in San Jose Saturday will be shown live on ESPN3, online.
Canada kicks off against Japan at 8pm ET, 5pm PT, and then the USA takes on Samoa at 10pm ET, 7pm PT.

The Pacific Nations Cup starts, finally, this weekend with the USA hosting Samoa at Avaya Stadium as part of a doubleheader that also includes Canada against Japan.

Canada and the USA will meet in the Pan Am Games women’s Gold Medal match, as the pair finished atop the six-team field with near-perfect records. Both teams were 4-0 heading into the final pool play game against each other, while Canada had not surrendered a point-against, and the USA had only given up 14.
