HARARE, Zimbabwe - The AIG Men's Junior All-Americans dropped their first match at the 2016 World Rugby U20 Trophy Tuesday, losing to Namibia 46-44-39 on a late try.

It was clearly not a match where the defenses were operating well, and as the game wore on the tries came thicker and faster.

The USA finished runners-up in the Bowl at the Singapore 7s, losing 14-10 to Scotland in the final game.

The Eagles beat Russia fairly comfortably, and then shut out Portugal in the Bowl semis - that game was notable in part because Nate Ebner got his first try for the USA, staking the Eagles to a 7-0 halftime lead.

It was a difficult day for the USA Women’s National 7s team in Langford, BC, but in the end they got what they wanted.

The Eagles started off poorly, losing to a Spain team they really should beat handily - an early 7-0 lead was undone by two Spanish tries - the second and game-winner from a fumbled lineout on the USA 5-meter. Spain won 10-7.

The USA Men's 7s team wrapped up Saturday's pool play at the Singapore 7s with a 19-12 loss to New Zealand, which puts them into a Sunday matchup with Russia for the bowl quarterfinals.
