GRR: National Teams
VANCOUVER (USA Rugby Release) – The USA Rugby Girls High School All-Americans powered by ATAVUS are in British Columbia, Canada, this week for their first competitive rugby of the year at the Vancouver Rugby Festival.
USA 7s team Head Coach Mike Friday is looking to shake some things up this weekend at the Canada Sevens in Vancouver.
With the Eagles now 5th in the World Series after a 4th-place finish in Las Vegas, and with injuries and unavailabilities making for some roster changes, Friday has some wiggle room to adjust some approaches.
What arguably makes the best athletes isn’t just the physical pain the players can endure or how fast or strong they are. It’s a combination of the physicality and mental toughness, which is what Sport and Exercise Psychologist Katie Wurst is making people more aware of.
Not only with the USA 7s team be without Carlin Isles this weekend, but injuries have struck additional players.
USA 7s team wing Carlin Isles will not be with the team in Vancouver, because he is hoping to qualify for the USA Track and Field team as a sprinter and become a double Olympian.
