GRR: National Teams
The USA Men's 7s team moved to 1-0-1 with a fairly clinical 24-12 win over Samoa in the 2nd round of the Wellington 7s.
The USA and France tied 21-21 in the opening game for both teams in the Wellington 7s.
The Eagles can points to a couple of key missed tackles, and two restarts that didn't go ten meters for their inability to win the game, but they also got some special plays that brought them back into it.
This column isn't to say that the USA Men's 15s team is screwed, because they're not, but this column is here today to tell you that they aren't getting any favors.

Uruguay - Saturday, Feb. 4 at Toyota Field, San Antonio, Texas
Brazil - Saturday, Feb. 11 at Dell Diamond, Round Rock Texas (Austin area)
USA Women's 7s Head Coach Richie Walker has named a changed lineup for the Sydney Women's International 7s, which kicks off on Feb. 2.
Three players from the team that finished next-to-last in Dubai, Nicole Strasko, Kristine Sommer and, most notably, captain Laruen Doyle, are not going to Sydney. Kelly Griffin, speedsters Kristen Thomas, and debutante Sarah Buonopane join the squad.
