Detroit Catholic Central won the Michigan boys HS championship over the weekend, beating West Ottawa in emphatic fashion 66-17 in the final.
The DCC offense was impressive throughout the season, as they went 13-0 and averaged 63 points per game—nine times they scored 60 or more.
Really the only team to come close to DCC was Detroit Loyola, which lost 33-24 to the Shamrocks.
We've got our first list of college commits and we'll keep updating this through the summer.

Xavier and Rye won their finals in Rugby NY's last weekend of action.
Rye took the Tier 2 final, beating Chaminade. Rye took an early lead chasing down a long kick for space and exploiting a Chaminade miscue which was helped along by heavy rains on the day.
The ball rolled to the Rye chasers and in they went.
More state finals are on the slate for this weekend.
Xaverian Brothers got by Belmont HS 38-17 to book their spot in the Massachusetts IAA D1 final. These two teams had met back in early April, a game that ended in a 17-17 tie. In the semifinal Luke Bell scored two tries while Christopher Dalton, William Benting, Joseph Karbelis, and Ben Kramer all touched down as well.
