Longtime University of Northern Iowa women's coach Steve Murra died Saturday, Feb. 20, he was 47.
Murra coached at UNI for 21 years, winning two national championships and multiple Midwest titles, before stepping down at the end of last season to spend more time with his family. At the time of his stepping down, Murra said in a Facebook post:
Emory and Clemson will be meeting each other on the pitch Saturday morning after a brief hiatus. Both teams are facing a numbers issue due to injuries and will be playing 13s for their bout.
Although Emory has limited numbers, they’re known to be fit scrappers. After their 84-0 win over GSU and a loss against Georgia Tech, Emory is looking for a win to make it to playoffs.
