One of the more intriguing results of the past weekend in DI rugby was in the Mid-American Conference, with Louisville defeating Miami 43-7.

Miami of Ohio has long been one of the stronger teams in the conference, and Louisville one of those teams chasing them, but this past weekend, Louisville seemed much the stronger of the two.

Norwich University scrumhalf Tom St. Pierre was the sparkplug this past weekend as the Cadets defeated Middlebury 30-14.

St. Pierre scored a two tries to go with the try he scored against Rhode Island the week before, with that pair against Middlebury helping stake his team to a 15-0 first-half lead.

The Norwich University men's rugby team is now 2-0 in the New England CRC after beating Middlebury in 30-14 on Saturday.

The Cadets opened the game with 30 straight points and held on as Middlebury scored two tries in the final eight minutes. Norwich got two early tries from scrumhalf Tom St. Pierre, and flyhalf Keegan Frisk converted one try and added a penalty for a 15-0 lead.
