Sunday’s DIAA semifinal in Pittsburgh was exactly the opposite of what Notre Dame College wanted.
The Falcons wanted dry conditions, and a chance for open running. Instead, they got a mud bowl, and a big, physical University of Cincinnati team that looked at least a little more comfortable playing in that mud.

So let’s get this straight: you’ve got a prop who is, if we’re being charitable, almost 5-10, who takes care of the scrum and battles in tight, but is also one of his college team’s best runners, passes from the lineout like a scrumhalf (because the scrumhalf is throwing into said lineout), and is the co-captain of the team.
SUNY Binghamton won the Empire Conference, but school schedules precluded a trip to the DIAA playoffs - no matter, there’s a Bowl Series game to be won, instead.
