This article is a combined rankings and divisional update piece.
As skipped last week's rankings because there were only a small number of results and while those results would have prompted one major change, we decided to wait until this week, because once again several teams were idle, so combined we have a decent number of games.
The final four teams in the Florida DIAA league are set after three teams won their quarterfinals and joined Florida State, who had a bye, in the semis.
None of the games were easy-going, and even the heavily favored teams had to work for it.
Sacramento State edged UC Santa Cruz 21-20 to advance to the Pacific Western Conference final on Sunday, and also book a spot in the ACR DIAA spring playoffs.
Sac State came into the game behind UC Santa Cruz in the league standings, having lost to both UCSC and Fresno State, while Santa Cruz had only lost to Fresno State.
Sacramento State will take on UC Santa Cruz Friday night to decide who joins Fresno State in Sunday's Pacific Western championship match.
Fresno State will get a bye to the final because the 4th-place team, Chico State, is unable to make the trip to Fresno.
Mount St. Mary's won their second-straight Chesapeake Conference 7s tournament, beating Southern Virginia 17-14 in the final and now leading the conference series with a 13-1-1 record.
The Mount finished second in the first tournament on February 19 before winning the entire thing Feb 26 and again this past Saturday. The only team to beat them is Mary Washington.
