Lightning intervened in at least three state championship high school games this season, and to us, this constitutes a major story for the 2015-16 season.

Lightning Strikes as Georgia Plays Finals
On Friday night the Georgia state HS rugby organization held its championships, and it was a supremely successful evening, with one very noticeable complication.
Lassiter Trojans Make Move in Georgia
Coming off of a victory against the 1st place Phoenix, the Trojans were eager to avenge an early season loss to the Titans in Rugby Georgia Boys HS league play.
The winner of this match would all but secure 2nd place in the regular season standings with a slim chance to catch the Phoenix for the regular season crown.
Georgia Latest - Trojans Down Phoenix
Rugby Georgia started its 2nd half of the spring 15s season after The Phoenix and Barbarians returned from the Carolina Ruggerfest and others returned from a weekend in Vegas as members of the USA South Panther’s 7s squads.
Going into the weekend the Phoenix were undefeated and in first place, followed by the Titans, Trojans and Barbarians.
