ST. BONAVENTURE, NY (SBU Press Release) — Clarence Picard and Andrew Tui Osborne have been named full-time coaches of men’s and women’s rugby at St. Bonaventure University, elevating the stature of the programs to take advantage of the burgeoning popularity of the sport in the United States.
DIA To Add Teams
The DIA College meetings were held this weekend and the conferences decided to add several teams for the 2016-17 season.
Every conference was represented at the meetings in Colorado, and among the many issues discussed was the addition of college programs hoping to move up.
Among the additions:
Dartmouth Shocks Penn State
Dartmouth College shocked pretty much everyone Saturday in beating Penn State in the opening round of the Varsity Cup.
“Nobody thought we would win,” said Dartmouth Head Coach Gavin Hickie, without a shade a bitterness. “Nobody, that is, except us.”
Dartmouth, Army, Dig Out to Face Off
Coming off a close loss to Navy, Dartmouth has to feel like things are looking up as the Big Green faces West Point this weekend.
