The SCRC Conference 7s final tournament lineup has been set.

Despite winning the 2nd of the two buildup tournaments, Kentucky won't be there, because the Wildcats missed the first tournament, and 15 points for winning one wasn't enough to get to the top eight.

Here are the teams, with their combined points earned in parentheses and their seed:

It’s a quick turnaround from the regular season to the DIA playoffs, but the first round is indeed upon us this coming weekend.

Eight teams enter the playoffs from all over the country, and all with some significant game-hardening behind them. Here’s a look:

The University of Houston goes into the Southwest Rugby Conference 7s championships as the #1 seed after going 10-1 in the previous two tournaments.

In the opening tournament April 2, Houston defeated Texas State 38-0, Texas Tech 12-7, North Texas 31-7, North Texas Bs 31-12, and Sam Houston 24-12 in going 5-0.

We took a long, hard look at the Men's DI rankings this week, trying to figure out if it's really just that simple - Dartmouth beat Penn State, so Dartmouth jumps up ahead of Penn State.

UC Davis defeated Nevada-Reno 35-3 and Sacramento State 40-29 to win the Pacific Western conference title this past weekend.

With the victory, Davis gets a home playoff game in the DIAA Round of 16, and an excellent shot at repeating the title they won last season. Sac State, by virtue of the Hornets' 25-17 win over Chico State, also has qualified for the DIAA playoffs.
