Sacramento State may well be one of the dark horse teams in DIAA.
After starting the 2016 season with a somewhat shaky win over UCSB very shaky loss to UC Davis, the Hornets lost again a week later, this time to Stanford. But since then, Sac State has won six in a row, including this past Saturday’s 50-19 defeat of previously 5-1 Nevada-Reno.

We mix up the DIA and DIAA standings because there are also DI-level conferences that don't pursue either playoff, and opt only for the ACRC Bowls or the Varsity Cup invitational tournament. So we mush it all together and give you a little bit of an explanation as to who plays where.
We’re in the middle of the college 15s season, of course, but we’re also in the middle of figuring out who will be pushing for a major college 7s championship.
St. Louis University qualified for the USA Rugby National DII College 7s this past weekend, winning the Spring Hill College 7s.
It was an odd situation for SLU as they had initially planned to play in Nash Bash, a 15s tournament, but the team later decided to shoot to qualify for nationals, and so split their squad.
Oklahoma University defeated the Jamaican national team March 17 in the Jamaican capital of Kingston, edging their hosts 23-20.
The match was a tough meeting for both teams - Jamaica beat St. Vincent by 40 points the week before and will be facing Trinidad & Tobago in a World Cup Qualifier.
