St. Louis University qualified for the USA Rugby National DII College 7s this past weekend, winning the Spring Hill College 7s.

It was an odd situation for SLU as they had initially planned to play in Nash Bash, a 15s tournament, but the team later decided to shoot to qualify for nationals, and so split their squad.

Oklahoma University defeated the Jamaican national team March 17 in the Jamaican capital of Kingston, edging their hosts 23-20.

The match was a tough meeting for both teams - Jamaica beat St. Vincent by 40 points the week before and will be facing Trinidad & Tobago in a World Cup Qualifier.

Arizona State logged an impressive result over the weekend with a 34-24 defeat of San Diego State in a non-conference clash for the two teams.

The Sun Devils scored six tries, but had a tough day kicking, especially in the second half. SD State tested ASU a few times out wide.

Life University clinched 1st in the Mid-South Saturday, but it wasn’t exactly easy.

Playing their first conference game on the road, the Running Eagles needed some last-second heroics to score in the final seconds to win the game.

Dartmouth won the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s Saturday, surprising Kutztown in the semifinals and defeating Stony Brook in the final.

Stony Brook also had a good tournament, losing only to Dartmouth (twice - in pool play and in the final).

For Dartmouth, the big result was the semifinal 12-10 victory over Kutztown, a result that not everyone would have predicted.
