Nine University of California players scored a total of 13 tries as the Golden Bears soundly defeated #12 Utah 82-5 in front of a big Homecoming crowd Saturday afternoon on Witter Rugby Field.
BYU enjoyed a torrid opening to the second half of their clash with St. Mary’s and came away with a 32-28 victory between the two high-ranked college programs Saturday in Moraga, Calif.
Neither team backed away and it was a classic clash between the two - BYU using their size superiority to punish St. Mary’s tacklers, and the Gaels exploding for unexpected attacking moves.
Life University escaped an intense battle with Davenport University Saturday, kicking a penalty goal with no time left to win the opening match in the Mid-South Conference 28-25.
