Louisville has started very strong with victories over Dayton, Cincinnati, and Pitt.

Now, faced with a bye before a bit of a buzz-saw as Western Michigan, IUPUI, and Bowling Green face them in quick succession.

The Cardinals will be leaning on the talent of AJ Ayres, who is our D1AA Player of the Week.

Our latest All-D1-Fall-Only ranking sees very little change near the top but a lot of movement in the middle.

Our task in this ranking is to recognize that D1A, NCR D1, and both CRAA D1AA and NCR D1AA all play across boundaries. Ohio State played Bowling Green this past weekend. St. Bonaventure played Virginia Tech. Davenport played Iowa Central.

In 95-degree heat Saturday in Ruston, La. Southeastern Louisiana University won their third game of the season, defeating the Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs 41-22 at Tech’s famous “The Joe” Stadium.

This game was for the Magnolia Cup challenge trophy between the two.

We actually have a video talking about some of the major movers on this week's rankings.

Overall, though, we see the top-ranked teams (for the most part) win convincingly. The teams ranked 12 or so to maybe 25 are those that are either winning against teams that aren't ranked, or haven't really got going yet. We usually have a nagging question about them one way or another.
