Ohio State University defeated Lindenwood-Belleville to take the Mooseman 7s at Middle Tennessee State University Saturday.
Tennessee and Alabama will meet next week for the SCRC championship after both won their semifinals this weekend.
The SCRC playoffs begin with Saturday’s semifinals as Tennessee takes on Florida and Alabama hosts Kentucky.
For Tennessee it’s been a tough run, but they emerged 24-22 winners over Kentucky, and 13-10 winners over South Carolina. Slightly less good goalkicking and one mistake here and there and they might be where South Carolina is now, 3-2 and staying home.

Kentucky flanker Caleb Canter was a huge part of UK’s excellent defensive effort in their SCRC opener this past weekend.
Canter scored two tries, but, more important, set the tone on defense and made a series of early tackles behind the gain line that put Georgia on their heels. He ended up with five poaches in the rucks, and an amazing 20 tackles in a 41-0 shutout of the Bulldogs.
St. Edward left the University of Kentucky High School Showcase 2-0 on the varsity level and 4-0 overall, beating South Doyle and Ravenwood.
St. Ed’s beat South Doyle 55-0 on Saturday, paced by Elijah Warfield's two tries, and their JVs won 53-0 over South Doyle’s Bs. On Sunday, St. Edward’s JVs were victorious again, and then in the varsity game, St. Edward beat Ravenwood 31-3.
The University of Kentucky Rugby Program has announced the recipients of their Leadership Scholarships.
These Individuals have shown an exceptional amount of character, leadership and dedication towards our program over the past year.
They will each receive $1,250 towards their Fall tuition with an option for another $1,250 in the spring.
