GRR: Tropical 7s
The USA Rugby South Panther program had a pretty successful weekend at the Tropical 7s, winning at three different age groups, including at the U16 level.
Mike Orefice scouted and assembled the team and Gary Anderson and Andy Thomas coached the squad.
The Tropical 7s kicks off Friday with 135 teams in action at the Tournament Sportsplex in Tampa, Fla.

Next Phase Rugby has announced it is now the official college recruitment partner for 2022 Tropical 7s.
Taking a break from 15s over the past weekend, Life University jumped right into 7s and had no trouble in the Women's U23 bracket in the Tropical 7s.
Many eyes at the Tropical 7s were on the Panther Rugby Academy.
Given that the Panther program entered 16 teams in the tournament was reason enough, but there was also the fact that the PRA has earned the USA Rugby designation of National Development Academy. With that kind of stamp of approval, they beter perform well.
