The USA Men’s 7s team is into the Cup Quarterfinals in the Nelson Mandela Bay 7s in Port Elizabeth, South Africa after two impressive victories to cap off Day One. After losing 26-0 to South Africa in their opener, the Eagles shocked Wales 38-12 and then defeated a fairly pedestrian Kenyan side 33-5.

The USA Men’s 7s team gets to rebound from a frustrating Dubai 7s in South Africa and should have some of their banged up players back available to play. Zach Test was held out of the Day Two games in Dubai thanks to an ankle injury. Perry Baker saw little time on Day Two after a shoulder stinger.

South Africa beat Australia in a pulsating Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens final to claim the second title of the HSBC Sevens World Series.  In doing so Neil Powell's side closed the gap on leaders Fiji, who finished third in Dubai, in the race to secure the top four places on the Series and qualify directly for the 2016 Olympic Games.  Kwagga Smith,

Julien Saubade’s two second-half tries were the difference in the Emirates Dubai Rugby Sevens Bowl Semifinal Saturday as France ended the Men’s Eagles Sevens’ weekend with a 24-15 win. The Eagles gain five points from the second leg of the 2014-15 World Rugby HSBC Sevens World Series.
