USA Rugby has today announced new naming standards for its men’s and women’s age-grade programs, with the All Americans monikers not used anymore for teams competing on the field.

High School and Collegiate All-American terms will now only be used for honors lists.

Naming schemes are as follows and will be consistent across men’s and women’s programs:

The USA Rugby Girls HS All Americans lost 29-24 on New Year's Eve to Canada's U18s in a game that capped off both teams' winter camps.

The game, held in Chula Vista, Calif., produced plenty of positives for both sides.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The Girls High School All-American program has named 28 under-18 athletes for Winter Camp 2019 taking place December 27-31 with a match against Canada U18s on December 30 at 3 PM PT.

Camp will take place at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center with information on how to follow the match confirmed closer to date.

LANGFORD, B.C. - 12 USA Girls High School All-Americans (U18) have been named for a NextGen Sevens tournament in Langford, B.C., taking place alongside the senior HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens from May 10-12.
