GRR: Florida DIAA
The final four in the Florida DIAA college competition is set after this weekend's first round of playoffs.
Six teams were in action this week, playing quarterfinals while 1st-place team Florida State had a bye.
Florida won convincingly over North Florida 62-7.
The usually tight Florida DIAA conference has become even tighter.
Florida State edged Central Florida to inch a little closer to the top of Florida's DIAA College Conference.
Two games this weekend in Florida ended up 29-27, which is a little strange. One of those was FSU's victory over UCF, bumping the Seminoles to 2-2 and seeing UCF drop to 2-3.
With Florida DIAA College Conference leaders South Florida getting a bye this weekend, USF could sit back and watch the rest of the league go at each other.
Which is exactly what they did.
Two of the games were one-pointers, with Florida edging past Florida Atlantic 18-17 and Florida International coming back to defeat Florida State 34-33.
South Florida is clearly on top now in the Florida DIAA collegiate league after USF defeated North Florida 58-7.
