Legendary USA women's national team player Patty Jervey, who holds or held virtually every Eagle record at one point, has been named along with 14 others to the IRB Hall of Fame.

The USA is in Pool A of the first tournament in the Women's Sevens World Series, which begins December 4 in Dubai. The Eagles join reigning champions New Zealand, Russia, and China in the pool. This season the standings are more important than ever, as the top four nations will gain automatic qualification to the 2016 Olympics.

USA Rugby announced Tuesday that 15s and 7s Women's National Team star Jillion Potter has been diagnosed with Stage III Synovial Sarcoma, a cancer of the joints.

Potter was with the Women’s Eagles in France for the 2014 IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup last month and helped the Women’s Eagles Sevens earn bronze at the 2013 IRB Rugby World Cup Sevens in Russia last year.
