GRR: Eagle Men
After enjoying a healthy lead over Canada for much of the game, the USA Men’s National Team found themselves up only 20-16.
Canada, by virtue of a try from Nick Blevins, had pulled within a try. USA scrumhalf Mike Petri, who had lost his fitting trying to tackle Blevins, said captain Chris Wyles rallied the team.
The Eagles fell behind early as Canada tried to push the pace of the game and work it wide.
The USA defense held, thanks in part to a huge hit from Cam Dolan, but Canada did get a penalty and a 3p-0 lead.
Just because the USA beat Canada in Canada on August 3 doesn’t mean it will happen in Canada on August 22, but there’s a good chance.
