The COVID-19 outbreak has shut down rugby globally at all levels. However, the shutdown has had an even greater affect on touring teams.
Groups that had spent time, effort and money in putting together an overseas tour were forced to cancel what for many, was to be the trip of a lifetime.
USA Rugby has announced that rugby activities in the United States will continue to be suspended through the month of May.
In an announcement released today, USA Rugby said, in part: "The welfare of our rugby community and social contribution to limiting the effect of the virus remains first priority, as we hope everyone is remaining healthy and safe."
The Coronavirus outbreak and subsequent sequester of people in the USA and the halting of rugby in the foreseeable future has had a huge and negative impact on USA Rugby and the organization's reorganization plans.
