Mary Washington defeated St. Bonaventure to win their home 7s tournament Saturday.
UMW has been concentrating on 15s much of this winter/spring but with a relatively young 7s team (no seniors) edged a very good SBU side 19-17 in the final.
The Mothers defeated Mount Saint Mary's in their opener 17-12 Connor Foster. Against Kutztown in a defensive battle UMW and KU tied 7-7.

Several teams have booked spots in NCR's massive CRC tournament—well really tournaments, plural, as it's a multi-bracket event with over 100 teams involved.
Thomas More won the latest Big Rivers 7s on a last-minute try from Ta'Veon Veal to beat Principia.
That 21-15 result clinched the tournament for TMU and puts them in a good position to qualify for the CRC in May.

College 7s is slowly working its way through the end of the cold weather.
Conferences sometimes have a series of tournaments, but sometimes also just have a championship. So it's up to teams to formulate a schedule that makes sense for them.
Meanwhile teams are looking to qualify for NCR's CRC championship at the end of April.
