Of the 24 players who were drafted in the recent Major League Rugby draft, 19 played rugby in American high schools representing 18 different programs; so our math tells us that there was one high school program that had two draftees.

The finalists for the Rudy Scholz Award as the top men's college rugby player in the United States have been selected.
A combination of coach/team votes, and fan votes, have whittled the list of nominees down to five finalists. The top fan vote-getter is an automatic finalist, and so is the top team vote-getter (those votes usually logged by coaches or team presidents).
The Liberty D1A Conference has named its All-Conference team.
Iona College scrumhalf Connor Buckley was named the league MVP as he led Iona to an undefeated league season. AIC earned two additional awards as Tommy Clark and Luis Sitama were named best forward, and best back, respectively.
Iona defeated AIC 50-18 Thursday in Liberty Conference action, bolstering the Gaels' case for a D1A Top 20 rankings spot (which they hold now already).
Iona saw Watson Filikitonga return to action and he scored four tries, including two in the first ten minutes. Connor Buckley, Lavar James, Bryce Stanback, and Mike Scarcella also scored tries.
