Eagle Impact Academy in WNY

Eagle Impact Rugby Academy (EIRA), a USA Rugby endorsed provider of Elite High Performance rugby training, is pleased to announce the opening of their program in the Western New York (WNY) region.

The goal of Eagle Impact is to identify and nurture the best young players in the country for the High School All Americans (HSAAs) and ultimately the Eagles. Salty Thompson, HSAA Head Coach is the Director of Eagle Impact.

University at Buffalo Head Coach Mike Hodgins will lead the WNY Academy. Coach Hodgins is a regular contributor to HSAA Camps and has served as Head Coach for the HSAA Stars & Stripes. He has also been a selector for the HSAA’s and the USA u20 programs. Kenmore Rugby Head Coach Bill Conrad and McQuaid Jesuit Head Coach Matt Thomas will also staff the WNY program

The Eagle Impact program will include a total of 30 hours of intensive player development from November to early March. EIRA will be primarily housed at Genesee Community College in Batavia but will also hold sessions in both Buffalo and Rochester. There will be on site visits by Coach Thompson as well as other EIRA coaches.

The first session will be held November 30, 2014 from 4-7 pm at Genesee Community College and is open to all players who feel they are capable, or have the potential to play at an all star high school level.
