UCLA Men's Rugby Seeks a Forwards Coach
UCLA Men's Rugby is looking to hire a forwards coach.
The position is a paid part-time position.
The Forwards Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for forwards, conducting set piece units sessions, and providing technical and tactical coaching on lineout and scrum detail. The Forwards Coach will also work closely with the Head Coach to plan strategies, evaluate player performances, and foster team cohesion.
Since this is a part-time position, UCLA Rugby will assist with seeking auxiliary employment opportunities via their extensive alumni network.
Successful candidates should have:
Experience in lineout and scrum coaching
Strong knowledge of set piece tactics and techniques
Proficiency in developing and implementing training programs
Ability to evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback
Excellent leadership and mentorship skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and players
Previous experience in collegiate or high-level rugby is a plus
Requirements
World Rugby Level 1 Coaching Certification (at minimum)
USA Passport or Green Card holder
Able to attend two training sessions per week
Ability to attend all games during regular season
Additional Compensation (KPIs)
This role has the ability to earn more compensation through specific KPI's which the Head Coach will outline in further detail. Examples include player recruitment, youth summer camp operational support & team success for that specific season.
