USA Rugby Membership System Goes Live for 2022-2023

USA Rugby is adopting a Rugby Australia-made system.

(From USA Rugby release with additional copy)—USA Rugby has finalized its Rugby Xplorer registration system for the 2022-2023 season.

As reported earlier on GRR, USA Rugby switched its membership and competition management system from SportLomo to Rugby Xplorer, which is a rugby-specific system.

Designed and developed by Rugby Australia, Rugby Xplorer is a full digital ecosystem custom designed to fit the rugby playing and membership community, improving the member experience online with user friendly and rugby specific functions throughout the season.

As part of a digital transformation, USA Rugby has launched an all new usa.rugby website, with dedicated homepages for the playing membership and USA Eagles fans.

Registration for the 2022-23 USA Rugby Season is now open, members are encouraged to set up their dedicated member profile at usa.rugby/members. (GRR went through the system and it works.)

RX is a full digital ecosystem and rugby management system that powers the game from the grassroots to elite rugby. It also has a mobile app, where registration and competition management can be handled from any smartphone.

“Upgrading the member experience online is a top priority for USA Rugby this year as we enter into a new era of the game,” said USA Rugby CEO, Ross Young, “The custom functionality of Rugby Xplorer is perfectly designed for our very broad and complex competition levels within the United States, so we’re excited to deliver these new platforms to our members and make the digital experience more enjoyable, on and off the rugby pitch."

Rugby Xplorer was developed by Rugby Australia (RugbyAU) in 2018 as a platform delivering a world class infrastructure that has been used to unify the sport at all levels, and provide a central online membership and competitions platform for the entire Rugby community. As USA Rugby governs a similar participation structure to RugbyAU, and look to increase fan engagement with future Men’s and Women’s Rugby World Cups on the horizon, the overall partnership was strategically collaborative for both unions.

Andy Marinos, Rugby Australia CEO added, “We are very happy to be able to work with USA Rugby and its members to develop this crucial area of the management of Rugby. This partnership aligns to our strategic approach across the Americas, whereby we will continue to look at ways and work with the various stakeholders in building content and capacity as we look to grow the game’s affinity and awareness through this golden decade.

Alongside the refreshed member registration and competition management platforms, USA Rugby partnered with RX to develop an all new usa.rugby website with improved functionality and configuration for both USA Rugby Members and USA Eagles fans. Navigating to important member resources and USA Eagles news will not only see a user-friendly refresh, but also be available on two dedicated mobile apps. Alongside the upgrade at the USA Rugby level, member unions, clubs and organizations will also have the opportunity to open and design a template website for their own organization and competition. These websites will also have connectivity with usa.rugby, where certain news and content can be cross-posted across the network of websites. The all new usa.rugby website is projected to be launched just following the rollout of the RX member platform.
