Overseas: Kate Zackary Stars Once Again

Headlining the USA efforts overseas once again is USA WNT 15s captain Kate Zackary.

While many players are sidelined, Zackary has been unstoppable for Exeter even as the new Women's Premiership club has struggled to find wins. Zackary's leadership and work rate has at times carried the Chiefs, and she did it again this past week. The USA flanker score a try and was named player of the game as Exeter beat Saracens 22-14. Saracens won the Premiership in 2018 and 2019 and had won 33 games in a row.

Zackary scored the try off a lineout that Wasps had lost. Zackary charged quickly on the Saracens clearance kick, charged it down, and chased the ball down to score a heads-up hustle try.

"My hand hurt a little bit after," Zackary said after the game.

USA backline player Gabby Cantorna was once again in at inside center and kicked a penalty and two conversions to help keep Saracens at bay. She leads the club in points scored. Front-rower Joanna Kitlinski and flanker Rachel Johnson are also on the Exeter team. Johnson came off the bench with about 27 minutes to go to make her debut for the Chiefs.

The Men

AJ MacGinty kicked two conversions and two penalties as Sale held off Leicester 25-15. MacGinty is 2nd in the league with 83 points as Sale improved to 5-2 and 3rd in the Men's Premiership.

In France Joe Taufete'e was on the gameday 23 for Lyon but did not see action. Titi Lamositele came on at 35 minutes for Montpellier right after Racing 92 scored their first try. Racing ended up winning 24-22.
