The West Coast gets a bit of a wakeup with some warmup tournaments and a tour—here's what's going on in DIA, DIAA, and NCR DI men's rugby this week.

Check back for scores.

DIA

It's a relatively light weekend in D1A, the most interesting games might well be Colorado at Grand Canyon and UCLA.

Colorado did well against Wyoming and Head Coach Chris Hanson said the team has bought into the new attack and defense systems.

"The guys are eager to improve and have embraced our changes," he said. "This isn't a surprise since our leadership has played a role in development and implementing our new policies."

Captain Charlie Quinn has been playing very well at outside center and they got flanker Angus Skinner back from injury. The team will take on Grand Canyon on Friday and then wrap up their west coast trip with a game Sunday at UCLA. The Bruins, by the way, play a warmup round-robin on Saturday against some local DIAA squads.

DIAA

Queens at Mount St Mary's is a massive one for the Chesapeake. In the SCRC, possibly the two best teams in that conference (aside from Clemson) face off in Tennessee vs Kentucky. The just-started MARC may have a big one in West Chester vs Salisbury. As we mentioned in a separate article, Arkansas vs Kansas is a big one.
