With Hong Kong and Singapore now being moved to October, the LA Sevens carries with it even more importance when it comes to worrying about the Olympics.

The LA Sevens will be Round 5 in a 10-round World Series, but seeing as two of the rounds come after Tokyo 2020 now (Hong Kong, Singapore 7s Rescheduled Due To Health Crisis), this will be one of the final four tuneups for glory in Japan.

There's glory to be had in LA for sure, but it's also even that much more important on a global scale.

Can the USA make it three in a row on US soil? Can Mike Friday repeat at champion coach in LA? (He won coaching England in 2006.) Can a new contender (Ireland maybe? France again?) come up?

Those are questions to answer.
