HS Nationals Teams—What's Up?

Here's another update on how teams in the 2019 Boys HS Rugby National Championships are faring; notice how many are touring out-of-state and/or are in major playoffs.

The Boys HSRNC competition will be held at the RAC in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will consist of three games for each team over three days, May 16-18.

Here's what the've been up to:

 

HS Clubs
Aspetuck Valley (CT). Faces Greenwich this week
Back Bay (CA). Got a forfeit bye in the playoffs so it's on to the next round and will face Belmont Shore
Charlotte Tigers (NC). Won big game vs Raleigh. Playoffs to come.
Danville Oaks (CA). Idle.
Eastside Lions (WA). Finished league play unbeaten.
Granite Bay (CA). Idle.
Kansas City Junior Blues (MO). State playoffs coming ... SLUH a tough out for them.
Lamorinda (CA). Idle.
Raleigh Redhawks (NC). Lost a close one to Charlotte. Now face Clayton in playoffs. 
Royal Irish (IN). No game. Close loss to Penn HS, close win over St. Ignatius. Now Midwest Championships.
San Diego Mustangs (CA). Beat San Clemente in playoffs and now Coastal Dragons next,
United (UT). Up and down all season. Playing Riverton in club playoffs.
 
Single-School Teams
East HS (UT). Close loss to Xavier, and now playoffs against Highland.
Gonzaga College HS (DC). Won their own tournament, and now MAVRC semis vs St. John's. 
Greenwich HS (CT). Aspetuck coming up.
Herriman HS (UT). Been busy. Now time for playoffs. Snow Canyon.
Jesuit HS (CA). Idle. 
Kahuku HS (HI). Won Hawaii championships.
Penn HS (IN). Beat Royal Irish, so that was nice. Now on to Midwest Championships.
Snow Canyon HS (UT). Kind of up and down. Now the playoffs coming. 
Rocky Mt. HS (ID). Fairly dominant in Idaho.
St. Thomas Aquinas HS (KS). Lost to St. Louis U. High 36-31.
Wando HS (SC). Playoffs in South Carolina. Hard to imagine they won't win.
Xavier HS (NY). Toured Utah, and now a game against Fordham Prep.
