Griffin Queen of NACRA 7s - Video

USA Women's 7s captain Kelly Griffin was our pick for MVP of the NACRA 7s. Griffin was the leader of a dominant team, cleaned up all the little problems - missed passes, balls scooting out of the rucks, and was a physical presence despite being not especially large.

"Griffin was unbelievable," said USA Coach Ric Suggitt. "She's a grafter, and a true student of the game. She understand it, and she knows how to compete."

Griffin's performance was augmented by the astounding finishing of Laruen Doyle (12 tries) and Kristen Thomas (9), and the thunder-ahead-first approach of the fearless Katie Zackary. But it was the skipper who deserved the highest honor, and that flag around her shoulders.

Below is a video interview with Griffin, who spoke to Goff Rugby Report Editor Alex Goff. If you don't see the video embedded, refresh the page or go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClrBoRQSTKg
