Gamebreakers - DI College Men

Here are the men's DI rugby Gamebreakers from the weekend of October 10-11.

Noah Zomberg

The Davenport back has stepped in to take over the fyhalf position patrolled for so long by All American JP Eloff. With plenty of pressure on the junior pivot out of the Grandville program in Grand Rapids, Mich., he helped lead the Panthers to an impressive win over Bowling Green.

JoJo Eramo

The speedy Ohio State wing is used to being the mian try-scorer, but against Michigan State found himself a little more bottled up. He adjusted, used his support smartly, and set up his teammates for a 77-15 victory.

McCord Thorley

The powerful Air Force Academy prop was a key part of the Zoomies' win over Wyoming and was named Man of the Match.

Nick Lewis

The Kentucky fullback was all over the place against Ole Miss as the Wildcats won 49-14. Lewis scored three tries, set up another, and gained 215 meters, while on defense he was the last man on several Ole Miss attacks, shutting down overloads.

Christian Wiessing

The former USA U20 captain helps Colorado control the set piece and bring home a convincing 88-10 victory over New Mexico.

Tom Whittam

Nicknamed GT2 (as in Ginger Tom 2), was a forward for Boston College until this season, when he switched to wing. Turns out the big, powerful Mr. Whittam can run, too, and he scored two tries in BC's 27-16 victory over New England College.

Phil Salter

We try to avoid having players get named Gamebreakers two weekends in a row, or twice in three weeks, but Salter scored three tries for Stony Brook as the Seawolves came back from an 8-3 deficit to beat Binghamton 20-11.

Erik Warnquist

The flanker and captain of Dartmouth scored a try and was a leader by example in a crucial win for the Big Green in Ivy League play.

Alex Goff

No relation to Goff Rugby Report's editor (GRR's Editor's parents are from New England, this Goff's family is from Tennessee), Alex Goff is a flanker for Arkansas State and is now in a position to take control of the Red Wolves' forward play. His long reach makes him a force in the lineout, and he covers the ground very well. He was a big part of ASU's win over Arkansas.

Robert Stortz

The small but elusive Kutztown center was all kinds of trouble for Iona as the Bears beat the Gaels in Rugby East action. While other players scored the tries, it was Stotz who got the attack started.

James Daniel

The blindside flanker for Georgia was the center of the Bulldogs' defensive effort in a 30-5 defeat of Mississippi State, making big tackles, making a lot of tackles, and hitting virtually every ruck.

Nick Daniel

Daniel led Florida International to an important 31-17 win over Central Florida, scoring two tries.
