EIRA Girls Win Twice

EIRA Girls training in Indiana last summer. That camp led to this year's tour of Ireland. Alex Goff photo.

The Eagle Impact Rugby Academy girls teams touring Ireland finished up their trip with a 2-0 day in Belfast.

The U16 Girls beat the Ulster U16s 67-0. The U18 Girls beat Ulster U18s 53-0.

This was EIRA Girls first international tour and they impressed throughout, posting bigger and more dominant scores each time out.

"I think EIRA has done a great job of building the girls and our player pool over the last two years," said Girls Coach Lindsey Mahoney. "Ireland was a good start for us but we're already looking to go to other countries that can give us different challenges."

"I could see many of these girls representing the USA in the next five to 10 years and hopefully helping to take the game to the next level for us."

EIRA Squads Named for Clashes with Ulster
