HS Gamebreakers for Opening Weeks of 2026
We get a chance now as January is gone and February is here to look at some of the standout performances in high school rugby around the USA.
Trace Snellman, The Woodlands
Four tries in two games for the Wolfpack back and USA U18 player has The Woodlands starting strong.
Boys HS Club Rankings 2026 Week 6
Club HS rugby is slower to start every season because the warm-weather states are focusing on school rugby.
However, we do have Florida, and some teams in NorCal, and some more in Texas. We decided to skip last week because it would have been one team moving and everyone else kind of staying there.
All Tight in NorCal Boys School League
While the school-team league in Northern California keeps going, some clubs are still playing some early matches.
The SacAir Islanders and Danville Oaks played what was probably better termed a scrimmage. They played three periods, and then were having so much fun they added a fourth. This contest ended as a 29-29 tie.
Greer Comes Back to Overhaul Wando
After two weeks of snow and ice produced cancelations, the South Carolina high school winter league was back in action with a full slate of boys and girls matches.
The marquee matchup of the day was a contest between undefeated teams, Greer 76ers and Wando Warriors. The contest finished with Greer coming back to beat Wando 19-16.
North Carolina Final Heads HS Weekend
It’s a break weekend in many high schools so things dial down a little bit.
The main game this weekend is the North Carolina school final between Charlotte Catholic and Huskies out of Hough, NC.
These two teams met up earlier in the season and that produced Charlotte Catholic’s closest game of the season, a game they won by the score of 14-12.
