NCR D1AA Semis: Bowling Green Needs OT, Tennessee Rolls

Well they do say that this third time is the charm.

Bowling Green and Louisville met twice this season, and the Cardinals had won both times.

But here in the NCR D1AA semifinals, BGSU got the best of UofL.

Bowling Green's success came from the scrum, as the Falcons were able to controll scrum time and that led to them leading in time of possession.

Something New and Something Classic in NCR D1AA Semis

It seems like we have something new and something classic in the NCR D1AA semifinals.

Something classic would be Louisville vs Bowling Green, which features two teams that play each other twice a year just about every year (once in regular MAC conference play and, usually, once in the MAC playoffs, generally the final).

NCR D1 Semis Bring Familiar Foes on Varying Paths

Did St. Bonaventure put it all together perfectly or did Brown lose the plot?

Maybe it was a bit of both. As the NCR Men’s D1 semifinals loom talk is still about how the defending champion Brown side faltered to the tune of 51-7 to Bonnies in the quarterfinals. Bonnies winning wasn’t the surprise, it was the manner of the winning.

D1A Rankings for 2025-26 Week 13

We have very little in the way of changes here late in the D1A fall.

However ...

This coming week is the CRAA Fall Classic. We have several games crossing boundaries and challenging teams. While we likely won't see a change in #1 or #2, we should see a lot of potential movement in places 10-20.
