Furman University has officially named Mike Miller the men's rugby program's new Head Coach.
Miller replaces John Roberts, who announced in January that he was stepping down.
John Roberts, who founded the Furman rugby team in 1998 and developed it into one of the nation’s top small college rugby programs, has stepped down as head coach.
In a midweek clash of top teams in the Southern Rugby Conference, UNC-Charlotte defeated Furman 29-16.
Both teams were undefeated going into the match and understood that the game would have playoff implications.
The Southern Conference is all set for the conference final 7s tournament at Furman on the 22nd after last Saturday’s final leg.
