Before we get into what’s going on with Atlanta Youth Rugby and its newest team from the club's new president – we had to ask what the inspiration for the new team look was.
The Maryland Exiles took a trip to the Atlanta area this past weekend, meeting up with Phoenix Alpharetta, AYR Inman Park Knights, and AYR War Eagle Rugby.
Phoenix Alpharetta defeated AYR Inman Park 33-22 Friday in Georgia high school action.
Atlanta Youth Rugby has announced Colton Cariaga as its first ever Director of Rugby.
Cariaga was the first coach from Life University to join AYR in its founding year. He coached the Inman Middle School program over the 2014-2015 season, and has been an AYR Board member since 2016.
Atlanta Youth Rugby (AYR) has announced it has been selected as a vendor for City of Atlanta after school programs, beginning in January 2017.
On the heels of our successful similar program pilot in the Warren and Whitehead Boys & Girls Clubs, this new program will help us fulfill our mission to bring rugby to all of Atlanta’s area girls and boys.
