The USA Rugby South Panther Academy will once again be representing USA Rugby at the Rugby Americas North 2024 RAN Men’s U19 International tournament.
The tournament will run from July 7 to July 14. The 2024 edition of this World Rugby International event will be hosted by Rugby Mexico at the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico Harp Held grounds in Mexico City.
National U19 teams from around the Caribbean as well as Mexico. The USA has participated by sending the USA South team there.
The USA Rugby South U19 program began in 2014 with a trip to Trinidad where the team finished 3rd in the North America Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) U19 World Rugby Tournament. Since that time the program has competed annually in what is now called Rugby Americas North (RAN) competition. In 2015 the team hosted a Welsh Touring side and that year in the RAN finished 2nd to Mexico. In 2016 and 2017 USA Rugby South won back-to-back RAN U19 Championships.

In 2018 the USA South team traveled to Mexico in Mexico City and finished 2nd to the hosts. In 2019 the team finished 2nd in Barbados with a record of 4-1. Jamaica hosted the last two events, where USA Rugby South won back-to-back championships.
USA South Holds Off New-Look Jamaica to Win RAN U19 Championship
John Watson of the Saint Louis Bombers will be the team's Head Coach for the 2024 event. He will be assisted by Sam Enari of the University of Kentucky, and another coach will be added to the staff soon.
The roster for the tour is limited to 24 players with birth years from 2005-2007. Players interested in being considered for the team should register their interest by completing the nomination form.

Having won the RAN U19s four times and finished second three times. As the two-time defending champions, the Panthers will look to win it all again in Mexico City. To be a part of this international tournament, register your interest.
