USA Rugby has not renewed the contact of Mike Tolkin as Head Coach of the USA Men's Senior 15s team.

Tolkin's contract has expired and over the weekend USA Rugby's Board met to review whether he would receive a new contract. Tolkin himself said in an interview with Goff Rugby Report that he had acheived all of the agreed-upon goals for the program and wanted to return.

And he may well do that, as USA Rugby's announcement that the job is open to applicants stated that Tolkin is welcome to aply and would be considered.

“We reviewed the program in great detail following the Rugby World Cup in England last month and concluded that we should invite interested coaches to apply for the role and widen the search further than the current Eagles coaching team,” said USA Rugby CEO Nigel Melville.

Interested parties may submit their applications directly to USA Rugby via the listing found here. A panel consisting of USA Rugby CEO Nigel Melville, Performance Director Alex Magleby and former USA Eagle Dan Payne will review the prospective applicants and make a recommendation to the USA Rugby Board.

The successful applicant is expected to have a strong background as a rugby coach, a history of player development and will display exceptional leadership skills.

USA Rugby expects to make a decision on the selection of their new Men’s Eagles Head Coach in December, 2015.
